I'm Helena, a Product Designer with four years of experience designing in technology companies, big and small. This summer, I'm looking to join a team in the Bay Area.
Led design for our Send Money experience. As part of that, I re-designed the Sign Up and Send Money flows, as well as our "calculator" - a core component that allows customers to understand our pricing.
Sole designer on the first iterations of the Reach Planner - a tool that allows advertisers to forecast their reach on YouTube. Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers, I took this from concept to internal launch.
Participated in this 16 day summit where we learned about design processes, and applied them together to the question of Early Education challenges in a rural, post-conflict Colombia.
Organised a two-day sprint that brought TransferWiser's and an NGO together to explore the question: How can we grow the act of hosting refugees? My team went on to develop a small video campaign that sought to encourage people to host. I built and designed the website.
As part of the Public Content team, we were focused on bringing high quality content to Facebook. My main project was the re-design of Pages - which launched at the end of my internship, and is somehow still live today.
Worked across various teams to design concepts for iOS, Etsy.com, and marketing pages. My main project was to re-design and build the Apps page.
I love making things, whether it's digital or physical. Lately, I've been learning React and taking a Creative Writing class. I also enjoy collaging and drawing.
I'm moving to the Bay Area this summer and am looking for a new team. While open to different sectors, I'm particularly excited about women's issues, healthcare, microfinances, and emerging markets. If what I'm talking about resonates with you, then I'd love to chat!
